Happy Independence Day!

Union County is home to a host of spectacular celebrations for our country's independence, and what better way to celebrate with a bang than by watching a sky full of blazing glory. 

There are numerous spots where you can make the most out of tomorrow's celebration and we have curated a few of them here. Take your pick and enjoy!

4th of July Spectacular

Biertuempfel Park, 1300 Winslow Ave., Union, NJ 07083, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Taking place at beautiful Biertuempfel Park, grab your picnic blankets and get cozy as you spend a wonderful summer evening watching this annual event.

Summit's 76th Annual 4th of July Celebration

5 Myrtle Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901, 12:00 NN to 10:00 PM

This day-long celebration is marked by traditions, starting with the Children's Decorated Bicycle Parade and ending with the Grand Fireworks Display. For this year, the Food Truck Festival has also been expanded and will include a variety of vendors. Kids can also enjoy carnival rides and bands will be performing at the main stage. Elizabeth 4th of July Celebration

115 Front Street & Elizabeth Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ 07206, starts at 2:00 PM

Come join Elizabeth residents and families as they hold their annual 4th of July celebration. Starting at 2:00 PM in the afternoon, you can enjoy food, music, and games until the fireworks are launched at 9:30 PM. 

Plainfield Parade, Concert and Fireworks

Parade: E. Front Street, Plainfield NJ 07060 , 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Concert and Fireworks: Cedar Brook Park, Plainfield NJ 07060 , 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Hitting several birds with one stone, the Plainfield 4th of July celebration is a multiple event that starts from 10:00 AM. Witness the July 4th parade early in the morning and check out the food trucks and vendors. Then head on over to Cedar Brook Park to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop by watching performances from various artists before the fireworks begin! Read on for more information here.

Springfield's July 4th Celebration

Meisel Avenue Park, Springfield, NJ 0708, begins at 5:00 PM

Join the celebration at Springfield and enjoy a variety of entertainment for the young and young at heart. Featuring food trucks, inflatables, pony rides, and even a petting zoo, this is entertainment for the whole family as you await the spectacle of fireworks to be launched at dusk. Stick a while longer afterwards to watch the concert scheduled from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM and make this a memorable Independence Day celebration. See the event details here.

Clark July 4th Fireworks Display

Arthur L. Johnson High School, 365 Westfield Ave, Clark, NJ 07066, 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Bring chairs and blankets as you enjoy the spectacular display in Clark. The fireworks will launch from the ALJ HS Field when it is fully dark, so make sure to be in the area early to secure the perfect spot for viewing!

BONUS EVENT: Roselle Park Annual Independence Day Celebration, July 5

Herm Shaw Field, 214 ,W. Colfax Ave., Roselle Park NJ, begins at 5:00 PM

Extend the celebrations and come around Roselle Park on Wednesday, July 5th starting at 5:00 PM. Fireworks will be launched at dusk, but you can enjoy the evening's festivities afterwards. There will be live music featuring The Purple Shadows, delicious food trucks, games, inflatables, and much more! Check out the Roselle Park website for more updates.
